Title: A couple of TGDs and objects
Post by: helentr on May 09, 2007, 01:56:56 PM
I have finally managed to put 2 images with TGDs (and objects in TGO format) at my site.

I checked the ZIP links and they work.
Only the XFrog plants are not included, but they are downloadable from Planetside.

Thanks, Helen!

I just checked out the 'house' package. I think you left out the arbaro poplar object and textures. I'd really like a copy of those!  ;)

Oops, I forgot that one tree was an Arbaro one.
Uploaded - only it is in 7zip format.

Hi,

I am afraid my site has been hacked, and, what's even worse, someone has managed to use mail form injection to send out spam.

I don't know when it will be back online, so if anyone has downloaded the files, is welcome to upload them somewhere else.

The lombardy poplar can be found here.

Hi Helen,
Thanks for sharing the files. just hope to have some time to use.....

A question that maybe you can answer:
I've downloaded Arbaro software. It's nice. But the .obj files that it creates do not
show up ok in TGD. What you do to import the files?   Converts using other software?

Cheers.

Hi bvcastilho,

In Arbaro exporting window I check UV coordinates for both leaves and stems, so that I can add an image for the map. I use wings3d to add simple colors and assign images. The objects don't need to have image maps for distant shots, but an image transparency map (plain black and white shape) for leaves is still necessary, or they will not have a good shape.
If you import Arbaro objects straight to Terragen, they don't have textures, so are black.
You do improve the object quality from within Arbaro, so that trunks won't be square, etc?
