Title: A big thanks
Post by: mhaze on November 18, 2012, 08:34:04 AM
To dandelO for his river method which I now use exclusively.

I try to remember and thank those whose ideas and work I use in my own.  People like dandelO, Efflux, Dune, Hetzen, Walli and others have all both inspired and helped others and I on these forums and a big thank you from me is overdue.

Old post but just seeing it now, it's been a bad few months here, so I haven't really been online much at all recently. Still plugging away, though, I'm doing procedural human eyeballs at the moment! Stay tuned... :)

Cheers, Mick!

Mhaze
What method are you referring too?

Martin, Sorry to hear of continued pain. I hope you'll be out of the dark soon.

dandelO, sorry to hear of your troubles, I hope things improve soon.

Badger, dandelO invented a method of limiting water to the area of the stream, thus speeding up render times.  See http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=15165.0 which uses the technique.

All's well, cheers! :)

Goms made a nice fractal version that works to mask an entire planet's subterranean water if you look here... http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=8793.msg105252#msg105252
