Rumor has it that CERN is supposed to crank up the LHC to the highest power level ever attempted the week of December 17th. The doomsayers are predicting the creation of a black hole on the 21st. :o

Cant wait for the fun to start.
I'll be keeping my eye out on the south-east of my current position, see what a black hole looks like, and attempt to build it in Terragen 2.

There is one down side to all this. There isn't nearly enough mass at CERN to produce an actual sustainable black hole. In fact, there's not enough mass in the entire solar system to create one... Not even if our own sun would go nova...
Oh well, one can only hope for the best or worst, right :P
