Title: RIP Ray Harryhausen
Post by: cyphyr on May 07, 2013, 02:32:56 PM
RIP Ray Harryhausen.
Visual effects master Ray Harryhausen, whose stop-motion wizardry graced such films as Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans, has died aged 92.

Pretty much started it all.

One of my favorites as a kid. The remake isn't as good. The
difference is not the effects but the writing was much better in
the original. My age might also have something to do with it.
The one thing that would have improved the original is to
eliminate the jerkiness in the claymation. I guess it is one of
the drawbacks of the technique.
