Title: multi-threaded populations and multi-threading in the render window ????
Post by: AndyWelder on July 13, 2013, 06:53:44 PM
This description is part of the announcement of TG3 but I have no clue of what this is, how it  works! What's a "Multi-threaded population"? And what does "Multi-threading in the render window" mean? Can anyone translate, please,  or explain because I'm clueless.

It means if you have a processor in your computer that has more than 1 "core", then the 3D preview and populating functionality will be faster. I have a quad core CPU, so both are quite a bit faster.

it sounds unspectacular, but people will like it - especially on really large populations.
