Title: Safari not using HTML5?

Hi, After using "mega" I saw that Firefox and others use HTML5 but not safari. I thought that Apple was promoting HTML5 against adobe flash? So IOS uses HTML5, but not safari on the Desk top?
Someone explain to me whats going on with this, please.
