Title: Vortex crashing
Post by: Grassynoel on September 06, 2013, 01:25:37 AM
Here is a setup that crashes ever time for me. I think it has something to do wit the vortex. Basically, trying to animate the scale of the Density fractal crashes terragen and my render shows a vortex with aggressive pops in it over the 100 frames.

It crashed for me while having the cloud layer open and clicking the rewind animation button (go to zero), while the preview was updating. I think staff better have a look at this.

I think the density fractal is to blame as I deleted it and am using another noise which seems more stable.

Confirmed, the attached file reproduces the problem easily. Development will take a look at it. It appears to be something to do with the interaction of the two node's animated settings interacting as deleting either one of the animations allows it to render at least the current frame successfully (did not try a sequence).

Neat,
Glad to help spotting little hiccups like that.
