Title: Lock camera position...is that possible yet?
Post by: yesmine on March 23, 2014, 05:05:17 PM
I did see a 2008 post with some discussion that touched on this, but was wonder if there is a way to lock a camera at it's position? I do use extra cameras so I can test without touching one I've set in a specific location, but too many times I've inadvertently checked a view and then moved the camera without realizing I'm moving the wrong one (yes, I kick myself every time.)
Still, being able to lock a camera in position so as to avoid that sort of thing would be handy, so I was wondering it's there and I'm just missing it.
Thanks.

Locking the camera is not an option as far as I know.
But you can uncheck show camera body in preview for each
camera you don't want to move accidentally when working
in the preview.

Thanks J Meyer, that will definitely work. Good grief, it's so obvious now I can't believe I didn't think of it. (Still, if or when it becomes available, it would be nice to be able to lock a camera, hero object, etc. for safety.)
