Title: Mars MOLA Dislacement Shader
Post by: composerman on May 06, 2014, 07:19:11 AM
Hello,

I am trying to use the MOLA shader, when I add it as a terrain, I don't see any changes. Do I need to download a data set, or is it included in TG3?

Thanks,

Troy

You'll need to download it. Here's one source

Thanks. I download the entire 128 PPD directory and when I apply the shader/terrain and select an image (.img file) it appears to load, but I don't see any displacement. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Troy

Did you ever get this working? The MOLA shader should work, once all the data is loaded you should see displacement. In some places on Mars it will be quite subtle though, unless you exaggerate the height. You could try increasing the height multiplier as a test.

Hi,
by default you start on the north pole of your planet, there isnĀ“t much to be seen there. (I think there is even a small circle without any data in the MOLA 128). Try taking a step back.
