Title: Blending multiple heightmaps and images shaders - help
Post by: AC5LT43R on May 30, 2014, 10:32:22 AM
So I'm using the Terragen file put together by Big Ben (archive.bigben.id.au/terragen/terrains/swiss_alps/) which uses lots of blending stuff that I sort of understand (but not quite) and using World Machine I rendered out some snow maks  and then tried to use the same methods used for the heightmaps. However, as you can see from the image below, it doesn't fully do the job I want it to.

Is it possible to completely mask out the different colours to match the height map dimensions? (So no green appears where there's red, etc)

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do, but if you just want solid squares that you can use for masking, you can create a Simple Shape Shader and give it the same dimensions as each respective Heightfield and then use those. Dimensions of the heightfield are found in the heightfield load node at the bottom under "statistics", the units are meters.
