Title: Move heightfield on the vertical (...Y?) axis?
Post by: Kivak on September 11, 2014, 10:41:42 PM
Hi all,

I am trying to add a lake I built in worldmachine (right screen) to my terragen project instead of using a crater shader. However, I can't seem to move the lake down so that it is -more- flush with the existing surface. It's just hovering up there. I tried using the vertical displacement, but that just crushes it. I'm looking for something that will just blend the lake right into the terrain. Any ideas??

Thanks so much in advance!!

Add a node from heightfield operators called heightfield adjust vertical. And use the mask option to smooth the sides into TG terrain.

Or the built-in border blending (for edge smoothing).

Actually, that's the one I meant, but a real mask will also work.
