I found a fair percentage of the autos (buildings as well some times) have reversed faces, generally with the running gear, wheels rubber like that. I found if you split the inverted faced objects out and save them separately sometimes you can get them to work. If you have max you're O K as there are always the max originals in the download and can correct it from that end and re export to .obj.
They are all models freely available elsewhere, including my Star Wars A-Wing fighter! I think I will be sending a polite note to thier web host asking them to remove the offending models.
