Title: Distant Atmosphere and cloud layer pops on
Post by: radical3d on December 15, 2014, 08:52:48 PM
Hi,

1st animation test using T3 build 3.1.02.0.

As we dive through the clouds at frame 107 please note in the lower right of frame how the distant cloud layer pops on.  Not sure if this is a setting error on my part.

Thanks for your time.  Great software.

It's a limitation that we're aware of, and it occurs whenever the camera passes through the volume prescribed for the clouds. Here's a possible workaround, though. I've found that if you use the "localise" setting you can have clouds that the camera doesn't pass through, and use those to build clouds all the way to the horizon without running into this problem. You might only need two clouds layers to do this; distant clouds and foreground/midground clouds.

I'll try to get this fixed for the next version.
