Wanted to study this as it is exactly what I was looking for.
However, I seem to be having problems un-zipping file.  :(

WinZip reports: Invalid Archive.
WinRAR reports: Unexpected end of archive.

While DLing, sez it's a 39meg file. After DLing only gets 9megs....

It sounds like an incomplete download.  Try it again. Anyone else having trouble with it?

It's odd that it will start and not finish.  I'd feel better if the problem was that it didn't start at all.  I'll try to redo it.  Check back in about an hour.

Yes, I got that too.  If you can hit 'resume', it might finish, but sometimes it was also registering complete, as well.  I think it's a problem with my host (Yahoo) as my traffic counter is stuck at zero, as well.  Hopefully they'll sort it out soon.

Anyway, let me know how (if) you like the object.

Attempted to load object into default scene.
Program terminates with a Runtime Error and then crashes....
Updated Terragen to current release. Same result.  Several times....  :-\

No problem here. I just extracted the rock to it's own folder and loaded it as a population from there. Lovely rock by the way, thanks again.

try this .tgd, it uses the camo preset so should load fine as it's all procedurals.

Query, was the U/V mapping done in your modeling app or externally and if so which app did you use. Been struggling along with the mapping in PoseRay but it's often inadequate to the model.

All of it was created in 3D Coat, except the .tgo conversion.  Not an easy program to master.  But once you do...unlimited possibilities!

Thanks bobby. Your file loads. Object loads after relocating object on my system. Object shows in little window but not displaying in preview render window. Attempted to render without touching anything. Program crashes...
Must be my POS computer...  >:(     Tempted to skip it across the lake.
Not going to worry about it now. Will investigate later.

I think it's a 30 day trial.  That's what I went with before deciding to buy it.  The real investment is becoming familiar with its unfamiliar interface.  Although I also tried the 4.5 beta and it looks like they've cleaned it up a bit in the newer version.

a tad off topic but I decided to export this rock as an .obj and while it doesn't hold the textures it keeps the U/V maps....does it do this for all exported tgo's as .obj's...must check further.

I don't know how many times i tried to download this zip file but couldn't open it.
I tried it with Firefox and Opera.
Then i tried it with Internet explorer and it said the download got interrupted and there was a resume button.
After resume it worked at last.
Interesting. In the past i had mostly download problems only with Explorer :)

That's very odd as I dl'd it when it first appeared and again yesterday with no problem in Chrome. I think it a Yahoo problem as UI mentioned.

It's unfortunate I'm having these issues.  I really don't have time to reassess my site hosting right now.  This never came up when I released my white stone .tgo awhile back.  If anyone isn't getting the object who wants it, PM me and maybe we can find an alternate way to deliver it.

The most basic way could be  Onedrive, Googledrive, Drobbox etc. maybe?

Just as an aside, if anyone thinks the 40 mb is too large for this object, the specularity map is mostly redundant, so you can delete it if you want.  You may also want to delete the reference in the objects shader so you don't get errors.  If you do this, then you should also set the object's reflectivity to zero or near zero to avoid the saran wrap plastic look that the object will have with reflectivity set to 1.

Good to hear Bobby.  I just thought some people might think 40 mb is too big for just a little rock object.  The textures are high res, however, and hold up quite well up close (although not macro close), which is where most of the space comes from.  In the future, I'll likely just not export out a specularity map unless it's actually necessary.
