Title: 2 lamps
Post by: bobbystahr on January 19, 2015, 03:20:48 PM
Here's a boredom experiment I'm working on. I found these 2 lamps years back,

and then again over the years but always .max; till recently I found I think at

archive3d, a .3ds version I converted.
Although made by the same artist they are remarkably inconsistent in that some

of the sphere parts were walls and others like the sphere object in TG. So I

took them to my pal's office and split the spheres up and deleted the inside

ones where they appeared, saved it to my stick and at home loaded it in

PoseRay and was able to get all the spheres back into one object, U/V mapped

them in PoseRay and here we are.
If anyone wants to play with these I'll pack 'em up with the .tgc I use for the

Glass and necessary maps(2 or 3). Glass colour is set in the tranparency slider.
The assembled lo res images attached are labeled for clarity...I noticed that

with soft shadows the transpaent colour from the glass shader projects, but not

really with no SShadows.
In the 2 lamps pic they both share the identical settings including lght fall off.

Um...Light sources, in the large on there are 4 and the smaller 2, essentially 1 per sphere in the model, 1% sun, almost set so little effect.
