Title: weird problem with light sources
Post by: mhaze on February 10, 2015, 07:47:02 AM
Ok, if I start TG and add a light source or spot light with the standard scene all works fine.  However in my Iceland scene when I add a light source the entire scene goes black.  If I import using copy and paste a light source from an older scene it works!

The imported light source may be from an older version of TG as the copy paste technique does not work using the latest version.

Any ideas?

Did you vary stuff from the source, to see if that helps? Like where it's at, size, strength...

Weird!

Yes - I've tried everything I know - it's a very complicated scene.  I'm going to finish this render and try and trouble shoot it by taking out chunks of nodes until it works!

Does this happen on any scene (e.g. the default), or just your Iceland scene?

Hi Oshyan,

Just finishing Iceland render - So far it only happens in the Iceland scene, I will look into this more fully, I suspect it maybe has something to do with a localized cloud. I'll take out blocks of code until I find the culprit and let you know.

Great, thanks. Definitely something we'd want to track down if possible.
