More Rocks...

The second one is quite TG'able...not extremely difficult, actually.

Messy displacements or the type of "no idea what I'm doing" tend to look like the first one  :P

Agreed, the second one is very possible and the first one requires some skill.

He posted a file, related about a image he made before, in Facebook Chris.

Edit: https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/rock%20surface.tgd?token=AWxgKfFlYwlZgA6oxZW-HuX6gHhtNVsWmolTGMZvAN25pym_hHzNOulliZg1ODyGUmJN4Jg8bMPaxgM3wKtOV0lg3GMbiYvWl7EXRLx_DH5ung

It is a direct link to the file. It is Facebook not sure how to link only to the post.

I do not have Facebook but the link worked just fine. Thank you very much for linking it here. That was very generous of him to share his file. Achieving that type of terrain has been quite the challenge.

It is a different setup Chris, just to be sure.

Who knows.

It would be nice to see some other great works here rather then having to visit Facebook.

WHAT THE HELL MAN!!!! You people have been holding out on me! What, is there a secret club or something? Need to know the pass word?

All I have wanted to do since getting TG is make basic shapes like that. So people do it and don't even tell!

Remember this thread? I know you do :D

Sigh
I am afraid to look at the file linked above, probably a mess or really easy and clear. Either one will  make me nuts.

More nuts

The file is not that bad, i studied it over and it makes sense most of the time. I would have to say it is a rather cleaver way of going about using certain shaders. I might have an alternative way of achieving those types of rocks but do not quote me on that just yet.
