Can someone render a project for me in a larger wallpaper like resolution? My friend who usually does mine has not been responding for awhile and I don't have funds even online/digital for a farm currently.
Most I can offer in return is Photoshop services or Web Development / Design.
What's the resolution and scene like?
Echo TU... I am happy to help if possible...
Be glad to help..........................I need to really try out my new pooter. ;D
Well it'll no doubt be at 800x450 due to limitations on my version but my resolution is 1360x760 (using larger display with only 720p) and quality bumped up. I think everything is set accordingly besides detail, AA, and resolution. I even spent a week just adding and removing things to try and optimize it cause I apparently suck at that...
You are also welcome to use any shader assets from the scene as bonus. I think I came up with some very pleasing rock.
Wow lots of helpful dudes here :D This is very cool. I can help also if needed.
If you feel comfortable with sharing it here and see who will render it out for you then you can upload your .tgd file here?
If not then you can send it to me and I can have a look.
You can find my e-mail address on my profile page here:

nice. 8)
sorry for not getting back. I'm having trouble with the project as I accidentally saved some changes that didn't work (so much so caused crashes) which lead to the computer freezing and making said changes permanent... So I'm having to re-invent part of the scene.
On a second note, with all the people that have offered to help... would anyone or maybe even multiple people just like to collaborate? If not rendering is fine. I do love learning from other peoples styles but there has been a lack of TGDs as of late. ;) If so I'll post it up here! Once I fix my booboo.
I only ask about collaboration cause I'd rather not post it up and having nothing come of it but downloads and get a little let down and not see what people can do.
Sure, let's see if we can make something nice together, fun! :)
Here is a downsized preview with some contrast to brighten the dull lighting and get rid of some of the polygony-like artifacts from quality
Looks very interesting. Cant wait to see the big render.
Is possible to download the tdg to see your set up?
I believe it's attached below the preview. I just removed lampposts bushes I made into tumble weed like bushes cause I wasn't sure I could share, and they are not good, at all (for tumbleweed).
Was hoping to add some terrain offsets to the clouds, have a bit wrapping around the column, but each attempt I made caused even the 5% render on the preview to take 10+ minutes so I could not patiently observe any changes.
Thanks for uploading...I'm rendering a little doodle of this now...
Hope the file makes sense! I hear I do things backwards! xD
The file is well organised and definitely makes sense.
At least, in the sense of how it's organised and where's what.
I noticed it's complicated in the sense that a lot is going on and that not necessarily everything is showing it.
It's bedtime now here, will wait for the little render to finish, but it takes very long, because there's quite a lot going on seemingly.
The idea is clear. Let's see if we can strip this to its essentials and rebuild in a way it's faster and less complex.
Just doodling with the sandstorm...
Will have another look at it tomorrow after work.
[attachimg=2]
nice creeping effect! Motion is a bit lost in.thr quick moving sandstorm department but like it. Is only the top tapered?
Looking on a large display ot definitely creates a sense of dramatically larger scales.
You may like to check the changes I made to the camera to actieve that.
It's further away from the pillar/hoodoo, but has increases focal length.
The sandstorm needs work of course and was only 5 min of work so far.
It does look good though, I like the cloud details. It could use some whisps maybe. Is it just me or did I leave a PF's colour on for the shaders? Seems to be a large variance in sand colour that shouldn't be there.
I don't think I have changed anything, but be aware that pulling the camera back and increasing focal length basically means that you will only see the ground surface near the centre of the original image, if you see what I mean.
The framing is much tighter now and is why it has an increased sense of scale.
To compare you can copy/paste the original camera from the .tgd you posted here and use that camera to render.
The sandstorm was just a quick doodle, as I said, and indeed needs wisps and other kinds of roughness to give it more of a sandstorm impression.
indeed very dramatic effect but very cool!
I'll have to take a look in the morning. bit late for me.
I'll also need to look into fixing that offset/altitude issue with the pillar seen here
I wanted to go procedural but too much got in the way and had to go with masks.
My rendition.................... ;D
well when my 24hr + render finishes I'm gonna have a look see as well, you and TU have been having too much fun alone it seems...well yossam just posted his render...nice one yossam

Very nice Yossam, this has a whole new mood to it. I like it. Clouds look nice whisping past the column.

Ohh! I can't wait to see what you can come up with Bobby!
3rd one is pretty scarry!
I think my attempt is pretty close to that 3rd already, except for the smaller details.
This can be easily tweaked by increasing the roughness value of the cloud fractal to 1.5 or 1.75 or so.
After that it's a matter of tweaking the scales of the fractal (and scale along lead-in + smallest as well!).

And once you are in it, it is like night time and as anyone could imagine quite a dusty mess afterwards.

I have been in a small one in Africa...
It was small but we had red dust everywhere...like everywhere.
Red dust... a lot of iron deposits in that dust. Everywhere sounds about right.
