Title: Any Oculus Rift Expert? Need some help!
Post by: chrisshort on July 12, 2016, 12:28:38 PM
Hi,
My company is diving into the Oculus Rift and I need help with setting up / creating 3D Stereo content. My web searches have not given me a clear cut answer as to the best way to create a properly formatted content. In a nutshell: We have been creating numerous Left and right eye video files at 1920 x 1080. We want to have them be viewed with the oculus. Note: We currently are not creating a 360 degree environment with head tracking. We just want to view the videos with the Oculus.

We would like the resolution to be as clean as possible but haven't seen a clear indication as to what resolution (or dimensions, square or video aspect) to shoot the content. Once we have the content, does it need to be converted in permanent form (like examples on Youtube) or can it be played actively like with the "Stereoscopic Player?.

Any help would be extremely helpful!
Thanks!
Chris
