I had a play with a 3D city model of Adelaide, Australia and background geospatial data to generate 360 panoramas.

The 360 stereo mode asslo works perfectly for those using an oculus rift.
Your data is so good - and TG blends in seamlessly - that the result is basically just a photo in appearance (although there are some triangular shading issues on one or two of the rooves). Just need to replace those tree lumps with some proper tree models...
Do you have TG4 yet? Renders should be a lot faster for your work in TG4, plus the new clouds will look better...

Thanks for the feedback.
I did replace trees with Xfrog trees in other renders for a client and it adds to the realism. I can't make the renders public yet.
I will do the same for those renders.
This is rendered with TG4 which speeds things a bit.
I need to test the new clouds in the next future.
Sounds great, looking forward to all that! In the meantime this looks excellent, great results.

In Firefox it seems that 'my device' (?) only supports 4096px, whilst your renders are 8000px. Too bad I can't see them.
Links work fine on Edge, Chrome and old Internet Explorer on my unit, with Norton.
Nicely done!
Absolutely amazing!
The foreground is really photorealistic.
I cannot say anything about the background because I never was there but I don't think that all buildings in the background have same white color?
Very curious about the final (when / if you make them public)
Thanks a lot.
the white buildings actually exist and are part of commerical zones.
the background data is an aerial imagery drapped on top of the corresponding digital surface model.
Mindbogglingly excellent!
Very impressive!
thanks a lot.
Here is a new morning picture with TG4 clouds and residual fog:

and a lower version:

I've uploaded the previous shot on 360 Youtube and it's entertaining to use the smartphone to explore the view.

regarding animation, if I was to add a moving ship or any other object, is there a way to crop the render to only the extend of the object (an may be its shadow) or do I need to setup up the crop area manually? it's not a big deal to do it manually with keyframe but i'm just asking.
You could try Crop to Object, but that would not get its shadow...
- Oshyan
That's a good start. Cheers
I've lowered a bit the fog and it looks much better.
I've also added xfrog trees using a density shader derived from aerial imagery.

Very good, that fog makes the sun rays pop nicely...
