The huge block of stone looks old but only appeared at the pond last month. Then last week, the smaller weird shiny object showed up. Francine, the waitress at Angelo's cafe, calls it the portal, don't know why. I don't know whether to examine it or stay away, but people who go with the idea of getting a close look at it seem to end up climbing the cube and diving off and disappearing. Maybe the entrance, if there is one, is under water.
