Title: Would be nice feature
Post by: archonforest on February 09, 2018, 06:18:53 AM
Would be useful time to time to be able to rotate the crop render bounding box.
Of course I could rotate the camera to get a diff angle but it would be much faster to rotate that and render...

Why would that be faster? Same crop...

If you are trying to rotate that wave pattern you were after, put a transform input at world position and rotate it.?

I have a picture right now where the shore line is going through the picture diagonally. I want to do crop render only where the water meets the land. Since it is a diagonal line my crop render will go side to side and will render also parts that I do not want to see thus increasing the render time.

See attached.

Ah, that's the idea. No, then you really need a rotated crop or camera. Or do a series of overlapping smaller crops following that angular line.

Rotated crop camera is a good idea! But for speed I still would like to rotate the crop line. It is just one click...hehehe...
