Title: Black Rocks in Rock Pop
Post by: WAS on May 22, 2018, 07:10:54 PM
Anyone know why there would be rocks that are just black and have no surface texture when using a default shader and a PF for colour function? The scale is 0.2 - 0.8 with a mesh displacer.

It's subdivided with a s subdivision of 4.

Only 40 faces. I tried 12 and still black. I don't think it's related to faces. The surface shader, or default shader outputs consistent colour.

I also tried disabling subdivision.

I figured it out. I accidentally transformed on the Y axis instead of translating on the Y axis. Apparently this breaks the surface layer.
