Title: Lateral Texturing
Post by: WAS on June 12, 2018, 11:05:08 PM
When you create awesomeness with lateral displacement, how does one achieve texture colouring that follows the contours of your displacement? Like, if I use a voronoi noise for displacement, and than use that same noise inverted and clamped low, to try and colour the depressions of the displacement, the depression colouring won't align with the lateral displacement.

Try using Get Position in Geometry instead of Get position in Texture.

Try using Get Position in Geometry instead of Get position in Texture.

Fancy, but if I'm remembering correctly it's not distortable as a noise though? Like fractal warp and such.

And is that lateral? It works fine on normal, with get position in texture.
