Title: Seacloud
Post by: aokcub on July 14, 2018, 09:10:52 AM
This is my first challenge using Gaea and MEGASCAN assets.

Terrain : Gaea (mountain at the center. Far side is TG4 generated terrain)
Vegetation : Xfrog, Silva3D
Road texture : Quixel Mixier
Road curbs : MEGASCANS
Render : Terragen 4.1
Correction : Photoshop

Barrier (wires and poles) is made by primitive cubes.
Objects nearby the camera are sitting on displaceable planes/cubes.
Road surface texture is also mapped on a cube.

Thank you!

Very nice. I like the colours especially.
Are the clouds Terragen?

Very nice! Love the clouds, are those v3s? Shadows somewhat look 2D but the effect looks really nice.

Very good work. Excellent sky, love to see your settings.
I guess you have "receive shadows" turned off in the valley clouds, it would be interesting to see the effect with it turned on. (apart from increasing render time!)

Very beautiful!
And it's amazing how easy the way to make wires and poles is. Just impressive!

Thank you for many kind words.

Yes they are v2. I also tried v3 clouds for altocumulus, however, as far as my try and error, I couldn't obtain good result. (and got increased rendering time :P)

Cyphyr, attached is a render with valley clouds with RSFS enabled.
This also looks good to me, but I wanted little bit more brightness on the cloud so I need to tune the lighting tab ;)
