Title: Selection after duplicate
Post by: efflux on October 14, 2007, 09:30:27 AM
In a future TG2, can we have nodes to be selected after duplication since this is always what we are going to want so we can move them. This would be especially useful if we are selecting and duplicating large numbers of nodes.

Hi efflux,

That's a good idea, and I will look into implementing it today.

This one has been in request queue for a while I think, but the squeaky wheel does sometimes get the grease. ;)

Hi Oshyan,

I don't have a feature request bug for it or anything, it just seemed like a good idea ( actually how I would expect it to work if I thought about it ) which would be quick to implement. Turns it wasn't quite so easy I was thinking, but I have done it since this morning with a few other things, so it wasn't too bad :-).

Regards,

Jo

This is great because when you duplicate a lot nodes you then have to select them again to move them and even if we have a bounding box selection in future then without automatic selection of the duplicates it would be still no good because of where the duplicates appear.
