I would share my sand. It is the sand from my image http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=2533.0 . It's only a bit enhanced.
I used a Power Fractal Shader for the ripples. The noise flavour is "ridged". With some warping it looks now a bit more realistic.
Do not ask me how I made this exactly. I was only lucky.
