Help please, I can't find the link!
Someone here posted a link to a program that output tileable city/circuit board/map style designs. They were greyscale overlapping geometric designs that could be used as displacement maps or distribution maps.
I think they did some quite impressive high density clouds with them ...
Earlier this year maybe ?
I can't find the post or the link, can anybody remember what it was called or link me to the post?
Thanks
Maybe somewhere here: https://sourceforge.net/directory/os:windows/?q=3d+city+generator ? I googled for city grid generator.
Hey thanks ... It is not really a City generator, more it could be leveraged in that direction as part of a tool kit ...
Ah ha! Found it.
It is JSplacement and you can get it from here (https://windmillart.net/?p=jsplacement)
Couple of images from it created in Terragen here (https://planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,24369.msg247299.html#msg247299)
Is JDisplacement city function actually released now? It wasn't before. Hard to tell as they removed their "coming soon" features list of functions.
I didn't know there was a specific city function, upcoming or otherwise. I just plan to use the generated maps for an upcoming (city based) project.

Oh, I'll have to install it again. It used to have a planned "city" function or "blocks" functions that created a city like setup of building shapes and street gridding.
