Title: Specific Attribute Editing
Post by: jackblack on November 04, 2018, 07:13:45 PM
Let's say I have an alpine shader and I have a SSS that I want to effect only the scale step in the alpine settings. Is there a way to target specific attributes with different shaders?

The Alpine shader has no modulators, no, so there is no real way to effect any of the Alpine's settings dynamically.

Terragen does not currently have the ability to manipulate or "drive" arbitrary (i.e. all) settings using external shaders. Specific shader nodes have some of their settings "exposed" through node inputs in this way, a good example is the Generic-type cloud presets which have quite a lot of inputs. But we need to explicitly code each such capability, we can't just make every setting work this way automatically unfortunately.

Mix two sets, masked by the SSS.
