Post by: bobbystahr on March 05, 2019, 05:28:21 PM
A terrain modeling experiment that turned into a mountain forest scene by accident. C&C welcome

This is obviously the start of a WOW WIP :)

The POV is great. I also like the mix of dry ground and scattered trees on the left.
The fog needs some work - especially on the right side it looks strange.

It's an interesting render  ??? :o So did you mask the white into the terrain and used the same across the trees?

All the 'white' is cloud following terrain, there's no other white in the image IIRC.

Thanks Oshyan, I'd considered cropping that out and now I think I will...bugs my ass as well.

It looks to me like the clouds are following the shape of the trees and all.
Doe it go through a renderer or something?

In the Cloud go to Functions>Altitude offset function and add in the terrain you wish the cloud to follow and use the function multiplier slider to select height of follow..just play around as that's what I did here.
