Playing around, that's a couple of ages of the Coulter Pine XFROG freebie, some procedural grass on the far hills and grass 5 Dune in the foreground.kinda like the sparkles on the water but sorta wish I'd left it as a mirror lake as that looked quite nice as well.

I was immediately enthusiastic about the nice sparkling lake :)
I like the quite natural slightly overexposed look. Looks much more real to me than many HDR pics.
Perhaps a DoF would increase naturalness and authenticity?

thought about DoF but it would blur that lovely Pine tree....and I featured it purposely to give the impression of the distant ones which are very indistinct in the distance.

...and if you set the focus to the forground with the pine (perhaps adding something interesting of your choice in the middle foreground) and blur the background?
