Another space image. There are lots of separate parts comped together since some parts didn't use GI, some were rendered with the path tracer, some weren't, and I wanted to have more control over the single components.
Wow, that looks so good!
Unbelievable good . I like the meteorite and dust rings! And again a great planet.
It's a pity that the falcon is a victim of the DoF... I guess there would be many details to discover on it, too! :)
News flash! Disney Studios is in search of someone only known as "Hannes"...
Oh that's pretty dog gone good! Love the motion blur on the Falcon. And there's the planet. Nice! Great recreation of a Star Wars scene!
Oh that is nice. Great comp.
IMO (isn't it always!) there is something off about the motion blur on the falcon ... should be either more or less (I's probably go for less because I'm lazy!).

uups... no DoF??... so different eyes do interpret the same effect in different ways ;D
Great scene! I love the stones. But the 'motion blur' is a bit too much, IMO. Only half the vehicle is blurred anyway, so I'd take that out.
Where did you get that model Hannes? Looks all good by itself. ;) And yes - excellent work on the rings.
Love it!

It's this one:

I converted it in Poseray and adjusted the materials.
Yes, maybe the (fake) motion blur is a bit too much. Actually it's After effects' radial blur in zoom mode with the control point in the flight direction.
I attached a version without motion blur.
Here's a little breakdown showing the eight layers.
Much, much better now! Thumbs up! :)
And a cool breakdown.
The version without the blur is really nice.
And thanks for showing the breakdown.
Yep, much better without the MB :)

agree...well done.
Indeed!
Thanks again!!
For those who are interested: here is a render of the falcon I used in my image, and below is a falcon model from Blendswap:
https://www.blendswap.com/blend/5843
I opened it in Blender and exported it as OBJ, after I deleted some geometry of descriptions (sounds funny, but it was really geometry).
Unfortunately there is almost no texturing or UV mapping, but it's more detailed than the other one. Maybe a bit over the top? However, maybe I'll start texturing it...
Awesome!

Go for it Hannes, it's a way cooler model!
