This is of course great news but I do wonder if I should now cancel my subscription to MegaScans.

Is it going to be a hassle having to download through Unreal, and will I even be able to use the assets outside of Unreal Engine is for now unknown (please chime in if you do know).

Thanks for finding the clarification Richard. It was my assumption that was going to be the case.  This certainly puts Unreal in a powerful position as an environment creation tool. Speedtree has a special low-priced subscription with Unreal, VRay has a version for Unreal, Houdini has a growing number of GameDev tools for interaction with Unreal, and the 3D industry seems committed to creating more interactive links with Unreal. I've had an account with Quixel for some time and mainly dl'd assets with obj. or fbx formats. I guess I'll continue my subscription and see what the new pricing will be. For the most part, I can't see the high res. scans working well in Unreal; but with VRay and other 3rd party renderers coming (??) perhaps Unreal becomes a viable platform for higher quality output. It may be that newer high powered CPU's are going to be less important than new high powered GPU's (with lots of RAM), and should be on our shopping lists (of course both would be nice!  :)).
