Title: Detecting camera inside object or below ground via command-line?
Post by: daudvyd on November 12, 2019, 11:06:19 AM
Is there any way for the renderer or another command-line tool to identify a scene with the camera inside an object or below ground and refuse to render or otherwise notify the user of the problem (without using the standard Terragen application/GUI)? Yes, perhaps an odd question--but my question never-the-less.

Terragen's Camera isn't aware of any normal objects, but is aware of the camera within the planet. But I think this is currently only represented by the red terrain icon within TGD.

There is no way to detect and act on it outside of the GUI at present.
