This has been mentioned before, and seems not to have been addressed yet. Should I file as bug?
Same here. At least it is possible to "reveal" and select the invisible object when in editing mode.
Please file an issue report with as much detail as you can for reproducing it (ideally including a .tgd or gathered project).
