Hey everyone, I just spent a week down at MIT doing their SPLASH program and took a class on making your own raytracer, and all I can say is looking at something like terragen I have new respect for Matt and Jo (and Oyshan if he codes) that stuff gets complicated real fast.
After getting the one book Oshyan recommended, it was easy to see where Matt's talents lie and I was happy to lay aside my ambitions to get too much information. ;D
Which book do you mean?
"Texturing & Modeling - A Procedural Approach" by David S. Ebert and others.
Matt's name is even mentioned in the book.
Thats pretty cool
I'm not a coder unfortunately. I've got my fingers in most everything else though. ;)
I"m a coder, but I am not a Matt-kind-of-coder. ;D
