Title: Displacement on Underhangs
Post by: WAS on January 21, 2021, 06:42:49 PM
I'm noticing my PFs seem to loose almost all disp on underhangs. I have a shader setup with PFs on lateral and normal, no slope limitations, but underhangs are rather flat and under appealing. Is there any way to get this working better? I have a compute terrain with a patch size of 5, and a texture coordinates after that (to align rocks better on slopes).

I tried using slope limits to target the area specifically and apply more aggressive displaement, but it didn't do a think. I also tried masking the surface layer and using offsetting to try and force something, but the area is just overlooked.

I'd say, try an even smaller patch size, say 1m.
