Title: Hurricane
Post by: edlo on January 04, 2007, 12:27:09 PM
Does anybody has a clue how to get a hurricane with the volumetric clouds, I have tried several settings on huge clouds from high up but cant get the thing to swirl as needed.
I am looking to get something like this http://dmytry.pandromeda.com/mojoworld/view_img.php?name=hurricane_1.jpg
Made in mojoworld with Dmytry Lavrov Plugin.

You may be able to do that with an Image Map of a simple tornado/spiral shape blended with your cloud Density Shader. You might also be able to do something with a Warp shader...

I've noticed when playing with planetwide cloud systems that setting the lead-in warp amount in the density fractal for the clouds to something like 5 it really starts to curl.
