While searching Goggle for some thing else I came across this (http://vision.arc.nasa.gov/personnel/al/papers/64vision/17.htm) which is published by NASA (1964, Paul Webb, M.D. Editor) and makes for good reading. This data could be used in future to calibrate the renderer of TG2 to make its output closer to that seen by the human eye.
