Title: Penguins
Post by: glen5700 on January 17, 2007, 10:49:21 PM
Just trying something different for population, a simple scene and a quick model with a texture (the UV's worked great). In the future I would like to take this farther.

Neat, great idea. Look at the reflection in the water though its like the shader didn't apply.

Cute :)   The one on the right looks a bit lonely though ;)

Well it turns out that the penguins weren't close enough to the edge for them to show up in the reflections. So here is an updated pic...  One funny thing I noticed is the penguin that was alone is no longer lonely, all I did was move them and hit the populate now button. There is a density shader so maybe that had something to do with it or could it be built in AI  ;)

Heh heh, the penguin might not be lonely, but I don't think they like each other  ;D

The reflection of the one at the front looks really nice.

Somone should make a model of an Ant and make a hill that would be cool.

Sure I can, It will be a bit later after I get home from work. I will also include the image for mapping. Be forewarned that it's a very simple model and map, I didn't even model there flippers or feet(so much for happy feet  :'( ). When time permits those are two area's that will get updated.

Thanks for the comments!!

Here are the files in zip format, once again this is a really simple model and texture.

Hope it proves useful,
Glen
