Title: Help a newbie out?
Post by: Hadley on December 18, 2008, 12:55:19 AM
I've just downloaded Terragen 0.9 yesterday, and I'm still trying to find out a lot of things.

This is what I've created so far. (http://scribbleprincess.deviantart.com/gallery/#Digital-places)

and I'm still trying to figure out a bunch more things.

For one, Is it possible to lower the horizon?
Like make most of it sky instead of ground.
and why can't it load my water plug in? everytime I load Terragen it always says 'Cannot load plugin: water works'  why won't it load?

and how do I load effects?

To "lower the horizon" you probably want to actually just raise and/or tilt the camera upward.

The water plugin probably won't load because it requires the installation of the TGPGUILib, a 3rd party support module. You can find download and install instructions on the WaterWorks home page: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~jomeder/WaterWorks/

"Effects" are loaded as part of certain plugins like SOPack.
