Terragen 2 Tech Preview runs fine on 64-bit Windows XP right now.  (It runs as a 32-bit application, but it does work)

Here's a list of results of benchmarks on numerous systems, including XP-64

I think JavaJones said no. At least not in the foreseeable future.

We will ensure that TG2 works in 64 bit versions of Windows, both x64 and Vista. We do not plan to officially support server versions of Windows.

As far as actually producing a 64 bit version of TG2 things are a bit less certain. We would definitely like to do this, but it will depend on time and development resource availability, as well as whether significant gains from doing so can be assumed. We're certainly aware that use of larger memory spaces will be one of the most significant advantages, particularly useful for larger populations, image maps, etc.

We will definitely be fully supporting a 64 bit version of TG at some point in the future, but it's hard to say whether we'll be able to do so for the initial commercial release.
