Me too :) Thanks Luc, you've made my day ;D
These are nice Canyons, Luc! It's good that you're making these presets available.
Cheers,
Frank
Cool. Ca-ching!
Yeah everyone's getting into this business now. Maybe you should make those canyons of yours available for purchase frank. I want to know how to make them lean like that cool one you did. I recieved this at 9am today, looks very promising. Hopefully I'll become more proficient with terrains with this kind of guidance.

I'm not sure what you are referring to, PG, can you be more specific?
Thanks;

Was anyone able to purchase these before it was shut down? I've been checking back, but still no luck? Maybe Luc changed His mind?

Good news, I'll keep a watch out for it. Thanks for the reply. :)
Quick question luc, the first one you posted has two parts to the surfaces, with two collections of fake stones. Which one is the shader for the flake like stones?
Hi
The ground "flake" stones is mainly generated by first stones shaders .. I suggest you to well understand who do what to do some different renders with some disabled groups.

Luc, You might want to set up a cart for Us English Speaking Terragen Users. Of course it's up to you. :) I clicked the drop down list but didn't see the USA? We haven't collapsed yet. ;)
Ignore that message, I put my glasses on and found my country. ;D
Default language is now US English
btw I am working also one a other Canyon pack (or single scene) which will contains the following canyon (except plants/trees) http://lucbianco.free.fr/jalbum/Terragen%202/2008/slides/TGD832.jpg (http://lucbianco.free.fr/jalbum/Terragen%202/2008/slides/TGD832.jpg)

Coud you add the awesome one you did a while ago. Not sure if it's a canyon or not but the surface layers look amazing.

Looks good! Looking forward to see what's next :)
I think PG's suggestion is also well worth including!
And if may make my own suggestion I'd be interested in this technical masterpiece below:

...and while we're asking for favors in the next pack, I like this one - http://lucbianco.free.fr/jalbum/Terragen%202/2007/slides/TGD829.html

;D
is that not a WM terrain ?
If I remember correctly it is indeed a WM-terrain, or at least the mask for the glacier is being created in WM.
Some time ago Luc posted a work-in-progress of this image on this board showing the buildup of this image.
Martin
All of Luc's canyons are stunning...but my favorite is this one http://lucbianco.free.fr/jalbum/Terragen%202/2008/slides/TGD845.html ;D
Hi
Thanks for suggestions, it allows me to know what you would like to see in my "shop".
I just need more time to take each scenes, name groups and surface shaders in order you can understand the way how the things work. Because for my personal projects I did not take time to make different groups and change the default names !
In the first Canyon pack I have try to clean up each scene in this way.

I second this one. It looks like a lot of detailled work went into this. I'd love to see how it was created.
Hi
it could be released as single scene file... I think to do this for scenes for which I have passed a lot of time.
But before to increase the shop size I need to use an automatic download system after check-out, it will avoid to send you the file by email ;)
luc
Hi
normally now after paypal step you should automatically receive an email with download link.
luc
Hi Luc,
Nice to see you have plans offering more of your work.
I have a question regarding the Canyon Pack I've purchased:
It seems like you've provided an other tgd of this scene than the one which is being depicted.
First of all the displacements look different, especially near the ground. Secondly, I can imagine that some images undergo post-processing for colors/contrasts etc., but first of all I can't get nowhere the same colors, although I'm quite experienced. It also seems some layers are missing, like the sand on the stratalayers to the right.
Did you include the wrong tgd by accident or am I doing something wrong with your file?
I think when it comes to selling stuff it is important to sell "what you see is what you get". No pun intended of course, just wondering.
Thanks in advance :)
Martin
Hi
That's very interesting.. I have render the scene with latest alpha version.. maybe there are some differences in rendering. If it is the case I am not sure to can manage all versions of TGD ;) I hope you can understand that... Could you show me the result with your PC (without postwork)?
Regarding postprocessing there is some contrast/luminosity adjustment, sure..
But I will mention on my website that renders could differ a bit from renders example.

Btw could you tell me what release version you have ? (I used 1.10.27.0)
Hence I could try also on my side with same version
luc
I'm using version 1.10.29, for now.

luc
Hi
so you should have same result ... we will compare tonight when you will send me the file.
thanks
luc
I've just sent you the email.
Hi Martin
I agree there is a difference, mainly due to TGD version - I understood you speak about first picture, but it is the 3rd one. This one have been rendered with a previous TGD version (in February 2007) so I agree there are some big differences.
I will work on it to try to reproduce same surface rendered as in 2007 then I will send you the update (and to the few others people who have purchased the pack)
Until that, I have updated my site with the picture you sent me.
Both others scenes have been rendered with latest alpha so normally you should have same results!
Thanks and sorry for it ... I hope at least you can tell that there is a support on this pack ;)
Luc
Thanks Luc...and thanks TU for your persistence. Anyway, I know for sure we're getting good support, Luc, as well as something valuable from which to learn.
Ah, great! Then I can also expect an update? Thanks
Thanks for looking into this Luc. Sorry that I wasn't clear about which picture in the first place.
I understand you don't have the original file of 2007 anymore.
As far as I've tested, I indeed get the same results for the other 2 scenes.
Looking forward to see your update on this and yes, there's indeed support, good! ;D
Cheers,
Martin

Hi
I have improved the picture - I have sent an email to all purchasers
It is not really possible to achieve exactly same result due to differnce in terragen 2 render engine - specially in Underlying feature
Here the result :

Cheers
luc
Thanks for the effort Luc.
I understand you can't reproduce the old version due to changes in the intersect underlying feature.
If I have time this weekend I'll try to make an attempt myself of reproducing some of the features of your original version and will post it here if it is worth.
I'm rendering your second cayon at 3072x4096 now. Partially as a test for stability as well as it might make a nice photo in the corridor of my new house :)
Cheers,
Martin
Hi Martin
I plan also to make other tests to try to understand the differences and maybe find a workaround to obtain same picture (GI/displacement/colors variation..) but it is very tricky.
In the file I have sent you this morning you can see there is a new Underlying shader with values +0.1/-0.1. In original file there were values +2/-2 which seems give a too strong effect. You can try to play with these parameters.
Also you can try to add a new shader below this underlying shader with very a light sand color and limit it by slope in order to try to reproduce the deposit effect on the left part of old picture.
But I know, thanks to you, that if I release others scenes I will have to render them again ! (as I did with 2 first scenes in the pack)
Cheers
luc
Thanks Luc. I got your update this morning.
Same here, thanks Luc! You're the Man!
Hi,
Are your scenes still available ? I get an error at the link in the original anouncement.
Thanks
I am coming in late to this section. Where is the link to purchase these? Or maybe yuo do not sell them anymore ???
Hi
Sorry, the packs are no more available.
In fact, as already mentioned on my site, I have decided to stop CG to do some other hobbies.

I am very sorry to read this, but I hope your new work makes you happy.
Damn shame I missed out on these too. And Luc, good luck with your new work, you'll be missed in the Terragen community.
Simon.
Good luck in your new endeavors, you've been an inspiration :)

Thanks Luc. Your work was phenomenal in TG2. Hope your present pursuits are happiness and joy to you and your family.
