I did some tests with Clouds and Feature Scale (which is in the fractal options).
This made some big changes, and one of the best tests I've seen yet. At this point, large feature scale seems to be the call for that billowy look. Here are the results, and 2 additional images with the fractal seed changed.
One test I will try next is to keep the feature scale really high and increase the smallest scale.
Yet another handy set of images that help me judge how much effect these new settings have...
The 2 images at the bottom also have feature scale at 4096.
Thanks for the work on the images showing us what this program can do.
Thanks for your threads on the impacts on changes of settings....it is very helpful to see the differences in the images. One of your series also included the associated change in render times...if you still have the info, could you also add that to the others where changes affected the render times?
Moodflow,
What does your cloud scale B mean? What setting or setting are different? I'm trying to understand this particular one, since it looks awesome.

It was just a change of the fractal seed. Everything else was the same.
