Post by: Volker Harun on August 11, 2009, 05:04:23 PM
Hi there,

it has been some months ... being very busy. This week I had 3 evenings off ... et voila!
Terrain made in World-Machine 2

I hope you like it

Looks like a big earthnivorous monster has been biting chunks out of your terrain. Cool effect.

Thanks for the positive response :)

@Martin: I had been fiddling around with WM and GeoControl now and then, and believe me, I feel much more comfortable with procedural heightfields than with the terragen's own powerfractals.
Except for the Alpine fractal shader, of course.
The good point of our most favourite rendering software is, that functions do work on heightfields, too ,-)

Now I have to continue with my Strata-Stuff ;-)

Crazy and different looks like an extreme HDR image.

I'm fascinated by some of the images you come up with they are all very original and your use of colour is superb.
