I think it needs a Nazgul on wings and some scared little people. ;D
I would add more grasses at differing heights and densities. Maybe some low bushes, but not too many. I think the trees should have more clumps, on the highest land.

I'm missing the inspiration...
Watch Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers. After Frodo and Samwise capture Gollum. Gollum leads them into the Dead Marshes. I did not like the way they did the dead in the movie. Seemed more Margarette Wiess and Tracy Hickman, DragonLance to me. AT least I thought it would fit those books better. But, that's another story....
I really like the terrain. For me, the trees are too prominent - I'd be inclined to place them further away, and off centre.
