Title: Clouds from Abandoned Ship
Post by: buzzzzz1 on November 13, 2009, 05:54:12 PM
Thought I should share something for Friday the 13th.  :)

Here's a clip file and TGD of the clouds rendered in this image http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7813.0;attach=19962;image (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7813.0;attach=19962;image)

The clip includes lighting, render camera and distance camera. Hope you can find use for it and please give me the pleasure of seeing if you do.

Thanks. Clouds are easy. But yours are so much more dramatic (and better) than my attempts. This gives me a chance to learn more.

Sorry, but easy is all I'm capable of doing. And you're welcome

Thanks for sharing this, Jay. I often consider your atmospheres and lighting to be the most stunning part of your images, so it's really nice to be able to take a peak at your setup :).

I don't know if they are the best part of your images, but they really are stunning. I took a quick look, and "wow!" was the only adjective I could think of.

I would beg to differ on that... clouds are not easy to make look good and believable, or to get what you intend. (with my understanding of them).

Simon.

I never have gotten the clouds I intended. Sometimes I can get close. I find getting good displacement and ledges to be more difficult. I seem to end up with shale, when I want sandstones or granites.
