Title: [feature request] Render Cubemap
Post by: popngear on February 14, 2007, 05:50:18 PM
Are there plans to have a render cubemap option (camera at 0,0,0 rendering 6 ortho views and stitching them together)?  Currently, I am doing this manually but with Global Illumination flagged on I am getting inconsistent lighting from each angle.

Thanks

GI baking will be imeplemented. Whether we will be directly supporting cube maps, sphere maps, etc. is currently unknown but we know there's a good deal of interest for that. At the least it will be handled in a plugin.

Is there any workaround for the inconsistence GI lighting (besides shutting it off) until we get GI baking?
