Title: Adjust the look of the planet's surface
Post by: kepler on December 22, 2006, 04:41:50 AM
Hello, I've just rendered this scene with two Power Fractal terrains (one for the medium features and one for the bigger), reading the tutorial on the wiki pages. All the settings are default, except for the rendering detail at 0.75.
As you can see, the mountains have a "noisy" look :-\ What can I do to make a better rendered image? ???

I would try and increase your atmosphere samples, and definately increase your anti-aliasing as it's not a big hit to the render time.

It was just posted this morning. We gotta wait for Kevin, Cris or Matt to get on.

Would be nice if we just has a security question added. Not sure why that's so difficult, and even SMF staff say it's that only way.
