Title: Luc Bianco
Post by: Marcos Silveira on April 20, 2010, 10:06:41 AM
Did he die?!?!?
I was searching for his works and decided to take a look at his site but it shows an Youtube video with his works and this simple sentence:

SITE CLOSED 1999 - 2009

I started wonder:
Why?!?!
Where is the new site?!?
Did he quit using Terragen?!?!?
Did he die?!?!?

I seem to recall that he said he was no longer going to work on 3d stuff - I don't think it's any more than that.

Yes it's a real pity. His work was really really good and absolutely inspiring.
As far as we all know he lost interest in 3D and decided to stop with it entirely.
He still follows the scene here and there if I'm correct.
Maybe, one day, he'll get his interest back and start making images again.

It is a shame, I always looked forward to seeing his images.

I wonder if he was still around if he would have been a member of NWDA ;D He seemed to keep to himself quite a bit so probably not.

It doesn't surprise me Luc has disappeared.

These landscape apps are hugely complicated to work in and very time consuming (obviously, since you are creating an entire landscape or even planet). Mastering Maya or something would be a piece of cake in comparison.

Best to save images before you can't find them. I saved all the Luc images that I liked.
